Remember the doctor that told his patient that he had cancer. The doctor told the patient that because he was concerned for him. God is concerned about your soul! He loves YOU!! John 3:16 Says: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” 2Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
God loves you and does not want you to die and go to Hell. You may not think that you are going to Hell when you die but you just have to take God’s at His word! God said that if you are not born again you cannot get to Heaven and God does not lie! John 3:3: “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily , verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
You may wonder why a loving God would not let you into Heaven. It is because of your sin. Isaiah 59:2 Says, “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”
Going to confession will not absolve your sins, only God can do that. 1Timothy 2:5 States: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” Remember we are dealing with truth here. Maybe you believe something else but God wants you to believe what He has said.
The truth about Heaven is that, it is a gift from God and not something that we deserve. Look at what Romans 6:23 says: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Wages are something that we earn and deserve. God tells us that, “the wages of sin is death.” We deserve to die and go to Hell for our sins, but God offers us a gift and this gift is eternal life. We don’t deserve eternal life, it is a gift. This gift was bought and paid for, in full, by Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.
Read Ephesians 2:8,9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Salvation, eternal life, is by simple faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. You cannot add to what Jesus Christ did by doing anything (going Mass, kind deeds, Novenas, etc.). You must, just by simple faith, believe that He paid for all you sins on the cross and put your faith in Him. Salvation is simply calling on God to save you. Romans 10:13 Says: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Notice that God tells us to call on the name of the Lord. If you try to add anything to God’s way, He will not accept you.
There is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ, alone. John 14:6 Says: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” There is only one way to Heaven and that is JESUS CHRIST! That is the truth and truth really does matter.
