In fact, what I am talking about is the most important thing you could ever have. What is it you ask? It is eternal life. Have you thought about your soul. Have you ever thought where you will be for all eternity. Jesus Christ loves you and died for you. He wants you to be saved. Please read the following short article. It is about the truth and how much it matters for all eternity. A definition of truth is: “conformity with fact or reality”. In other words, if is it true it is fact and if it is not true, it is not fact. We have all been told something that we thought was fact only to find out later that it was wrong. I have heard things about certain dogs and the things I heard were not true. Many things have been taught as truth when they were not in actuality truth. For many years people believed that the world was flat, but it was not. Even though most of the people in the world believed that the world was flat, it did not make it true and it did not make it so. The world was still round. So we see, even though the majority believe something and they are sincere about it, it is not necessarily the truth. Some people don’t like the truth. A man went to the doctor and the doctor told him that he had cancer. The man did not like to hear that but, it was the truth. Without hearing the truth the cancer would have just worked away until it finally killed the man. After he heard the truth, he then was aware of his awful need, and had an operation to remove the cancer. What would have happened to the man if he chose to ignore the truth because he did not like it? Now let us look at the truth about God and Heaven. Most people have different ideas about these subjects. Many of these ideas differ one from another. Who is right? The only way to find the answer to that question is to go to the Bible and see what God says about the matter! That way, we are sure to get the truth and not just some man’s ideas. God cannot lie and so what He says in his Word is 100% truth. Not only is God’s Word true, but He expects us to believe and follow it. John 4:24 says: “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” God expects and demands that we worship Him according to truth. Some may say, “But what is truth?” God answers that question very clearly. John 17:17 Tells us: “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” We see that God expects and even demands that we worship Him in truth. We also see that He has given us His Word, the Bible, and that is truth. It is possible that there may be things in the Bible that you don’t like. God has told them to you for your own good. Remember the doctor that told his patient that he had cancer. The doctor told the patient that because he was concerned for him. God is concerned about your soul! He loves YOU!! John 3:16 Says: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
