About Us

Lionel and Bernadette wanted to get a dog back in 1994. Bernadette wanted a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Lionel wanted a German Shepard. Needless to say Bernadette got her Cavalier.

That was their first Cavalier and it was this Cavalier, Manchester Rose (Rosy), that gave them their deep love for the breed. (Rosy is the dog holding the sign in her mouth on our home page.)

Rosy became deeply attached to Lionel and Bernadette wanted a dog herself. They both also wanted one to show. Soon they were looking up and down the country for a nice puppy that looked promising for the show ring.

After much looking they were able to find a nice puppy Penny (Romsil Allison of Rosspenn).

Now Lionel and Bernadette had two Cavaliers, Rosy and Penny. Two became three as they soon purchased a young dog named Moorfields Paix (Sidney).

Now they had the prospect of breeding and wanted to register a prefix for their kennel. They took the names of their first two bitches, Rosy and Penny, and came up with the name Rosspenn.

Now all pups they breed have the prefix Rosspenn.
